James has been completely fascinated with rockets lately so I decided it would be fun to build a Pop-bottle rocket launcher and have a rocket party for James and all his friends. The launcher was pretty easy to build. I just cut a O-ring groove in some PVC pipe, bent the pipe, caped the other end and added a Schrader valve and voila…
We invited all the kids in James primary class to build a pop-bottle rocket and come over and launch them. We had a great time... launched some rockets… ate some dogs what more could a 5 year old boy want. Check out the highlights real below
Luke is always pushing little Abigail around. Lately she has taken to giving anyone and everyone "zerbets". Because she always gets a laugh she is ruthless with them. Tonight she finally gave Luke what he deserved.....
This girl turned 1 on August 15th. It is hard to believe that a year has flown by. It makes me a little sad knowing that I won't have anymore babies, but not that sad! Abigail really is the best baby ever. She is always happy and smiling. She started crawling a week or 2 before her birthday and is now becoming an expert. Her favorite places are under the table and the stairs. She also loves to walk around with assistance of course. This girl loves attention. There is something about having 3 siblings around that warrants that. She is starting to lose her chubby legs. It's almost weird that I can feel her thinning out. She eats and sleeps like a champ and is full of personality. We love having her around.
I saw this recipe in the costo magazine and thought that I would try it. It was delicious so I thought that I would share. I will defintely be making this again. The peanut sauce was incredible as well.
Yesterday Lizzy had her gymnastics meet. More on that later. During the awards, James and Luke were restless so they went and had some fun with Grandma. I died when I saw this video. In my defense, summer hasn't really started. I pulled out some shorts, threw them on the boy and ran out the door...
So I have been meaning to take Abby's 6 month photos. Now that she is 8 1/2 months old, I got around to it. I guess that means I can skip the 9 month photo shoot, right? I can't believe how big and grown-up my baby is getting. She really is the best baby ever. She is super content and always smiling. She rarely cries and is a champion sleeper and eater. She loves to be entertained by the troops and to go on walks in the stroller. She loves the Johnny jumper and toys that make sounds. She even started eating puffs! This freaked me out a little bit as it means she is getting older. We all love our happy Abby and could look at her pretty blue eyes all day!
Luke has been 2 for awhile and continues to keep us on our toes. You never know from day to day what new thing he will figure out. His favorite thing these days is to remove his diaper, especially at bedtime. I stole a trick from my friend and cut off the feet of his sleepers and turned them around and cut a triangle by the neck. I love this because he can't get it off to remove his diaper. Genius. Luke is still very particular though and will go in his room and randomly change his clothes. The other day he came out in his gray t-shirt and James' plaid orange shorts and rain boots. I laughed. The kid is stubborn and looks a mess. I took these pictures this morning and failed to comb his messy hair. I really did wash his face, but due to his allergies, cuts and scrapes, he looks a mess. I can assure you he is a happy child though and can be super endearing as he is the one who will help out the most if you say you need something. Ahhh Luke!
